How rolling filter works

The working principle of the Automatic Roll Filter is based on automatically replacing the filter media to maintain continuous and efficient air filtration. The following is a brief description of its working principle:

  1. Air Filtration:Dust-laden air enters the filter from the air inlet, passes through the filter medium (such as chemical fiber non-woven fabric or synthetic fiber), the dust is captured, and clean air is discharged through the air outlet.
  2. Differential pressure monitoring:The filter has a built-in differential pressure sensor or controller to monitor the differential pressure before and after the filter medium in real time. When the filter medium accumulates too much dust and causes the resistance (differential pressure) to reach the preset threshold, it indicates that the filter medium needs to be replaced.
  3. Automatic filter media replacement:
    • The controller sends a signal to start the motor drive system.
    • The motor drives new filter media to unfold from the filter media reel at the top (or one side) to cover the filter area.
    • At the same time, the old filter media filled with dust is wound onto the collection shaft at the bottom (or the other side).
  4. Precise control:
    • The moving distance and replacement timing of the filter material are controlled by photoelectric sensors or time relays to ensure that the filter material is not wasted excessively.
    • Some models support manual/automatic mode switching to meet different operating requirements.
  5. Continuous operation: There is no need to shut down the machine during the filter material replacement process, the system maintains continuous filtration, and maintains stable air volume and filtration efficiency.

  • Drive system: Motor and transmission device, responsible for the winding and movement of filter material.
  • Control System: Differential pressure sensor, photoelectric switch or PLC controller for intelligent monitoring and operation.
