Kindergarten requires name embroidery, which has become a hot topic in online handmade shops

Our reporter (intern reporter Hou Yuxiao) reported that kindergartens require parents to embroider their children's names on their clothes and school bags to prevent them from taking the wrong things. This has caused some young mothers who don't know how to sew to be quite troubled, but it has also made online stores popular, with many trendy mothers going online to ask merchants to "embroider their names" for them.

"Embroidering a name is really troublesome, but I have a way." Ms. Hu, who lives in the Haoyi Hua Ting community in Shiqi, said, "There are services on the Internet now that can embroider a child's name. I embroidered it online."

The reporter typed "embroidered name" on Taobao and found more than 300 results, most of which were embroidered for children. The mother reported the child's name, and the store embroidered the name on a small strip of cloth, and the parents could then sew it on the child's clothes or other items. The shapes of the strips include ordinary circles and squares, as well as candy and cartoon characters.

The prices of these name strips range from one or two yuan to five or six yuan, and most are sold in batches of 10. A shop owner said that if parents have special customization requirements, such as embroidering a mobile phone number or a pattern, it will be more expensive.

Yesterday, the reporter visited some sewing shops in the city and learned that some of them can also embroider names for mothers. "Generally we don't do this, it's very time-consuming. If there is a need, we can do it." said an auntie from a sewing shop.
