Eight Misunderstandings of Job Hunting for Women in the Workplace

1. Not believing in oneself as an excellent woman

They tend to set excessively high standards for themselves, and even very outstanding women may underestimate themselves.

Second, they failed to highlight their own experience and skills.

Many women simply list their past jobs on their resumes without detailing their excellent technical skills and the experience they gained from those jobs.

Third, the ability to acquire new knowledge is downplayed.

"Being able to do it" is actually more important than actual experience. Because you say you can do almost anything, and the result is often that you always learn something new.

IV. Waiting for the hiring company to call them.

You should generally maintain regular contact with the relevant hiring department by phone, and keep them updated on your progress until they formally reject you.

5. Do not discuss salary, benefits, or working conditions.

If you want a higher salary but don't want to lose the job, you can make other demands. Remember, if you get the job, the bargaining power is in your hands.

VI. No trial period required

If you didn't get the job but really want to work for that company, ask for a trial period. The advantage of doing this is that you gain valuable experience, and when they open another position, you'll be their first choice!

7. Not trying to find out why they were not hired.

The more you know about the reasons why you weren't hired, the better you'll be able to improve your job-seeking skills in the future.

8. Repeating the same mistakes you've made

Acknowledge and face your mistakes, and tell yourself that you've done your best. This way, you won't make the same mistake in your next interview.
