Data Center Liquid Cooling Heat Recovery: Capturing Server Heat

Tabla de contenido

As rack densities climb, air cooling hits its limit. Liquid cooling - cold plates, rear-door coolers, or immersion - captures server heat directly in water, at 30-50C. That warm water is a prime recovery stream.

Liquid capture reaches higher temperatures than air-to-air, enabling more reuse. It also lowers PUE by removing fan-heavy air transport. Start from our data-center heat recovery overview and measure with efficiency metrics.

Reusing server heat for district or process loads can cut a data center's net energy cost 10-30%. Validate with a payback calculation.
