Supermarket & Retail Heat Recovery: Refrigeration Meets Ventilation

文章目录

Supermarkets and big-box retail bleed energy in two ways: refrigeration rejects heat constantly, while fresh-air ventilation (bakery, deli, entrances) demands conditioning. Heat recovery bridges them.

Exhaust from the sales floor is warm and can pre-heat incoming make-up air in winter via a rotary wheel or plate exchanger. In cooling seasons, an enthalpic core also trims the latent load.

Condenser reject heat can be routed to space heating or defrost via air-to-water recovery - a form of waste-heat recovery.

  • Food-zone air may carry grease/particulates - choose washable cores.
  • Keep pressure drop low; fans run all day (see pressure-drop guide).
  • Corrosive from cleaning chemicals - specify coated or stainless cores.

Large floor areas and long hours mean many stores recover capital in 2-4 years. Validate with our payback method.
