Working Principle of the Roll Filter

The working principle of the Automatic Roll Filter is based on automatically replacing the filter media to maintain continuous, efficient air filtration. The following briefly explains its working principle:

  1. Air filtration: Dust-laden air enters the filter from the inlet and passes through the filter media (such as synthetic non-woven or synthetic fiber); dust is captured and clean air exits through the outlet.
  2. Differential-pressure monitoring: A built-in differential-pressure sensor or controller monitors the pressure drop across the media in real time. When dust accumulation raises the resistance (pressure drop) to a preset threshold, the media needs replacement.
  3. Automatic media replacement:
    • The controller sends a signal to start the motor drive system.
    • The motor unwinds fresh media from the upper (or one-side) media roll to cover the filtration area.
    • Meanwhile, the dust-laden spent media is wound onto the lower (or other-side) collection roll.
  4. Precise control:
    • Photoelectric sensors or a time relay control the movement distance and timing of media replacement, avoiding excessive media waste.
    • Some models support manual/automatic mode switching to suit different operating needs.
  5. Continuous operation: Media replacement requires no shutdown; the system maintains continuous filtration and stable airflow and filtration efficiency.
